Scrooge's redemption told through five staves

Dickens's 1843 novella is structured like a Christmas carol in five staves. A miserly, isolated Scrooge is confronted by the ghost of his old partner Marley and then by three spirits, who show him his past, present and possible future. The visits force him to face what his greed has cost others and, by Stave Five, to transform himself into a generous, warm-hearted man.
